Guide to ISPM15
Within the EU there are no restrictions on Wood Packaging as it would be a presumption that any Packaging had been Heat treated or complies with International plant health regulations. Pests & Diseases that can be carried on plants, trees, seeds and wood products. If you are exporting wood products abroad (excluding the EU) you will have to comply with the import regulations of those countries. Countries which have signed up to ispm-15 are entitled to refuse entry at their frontiers to goods on wooden pallets, crates, spools or any other wood packaging unless it has been treated, marked and certified in accordance with their regulations.
